Here at IGL/FreshDevs we pride ourselves on our track record providing solid, secure and cost-effective network infrastructures for our clients worldwide. As the majority of our clients are aware we provide these services through our sister company Dimension Four Network Solutions (DF-Network), which was absorbed into the Illuminati Gaming group early in 2003.
Our business over the past year has shown a large increase in the percentage of our services provided to UK-based companies.
In the past we have been unable to accommodate dedicated/managed hosting directly in the United Kingdom without extraordinary requirements and a number of our clients have been disappointed to find their internet-portals/services are running out of the United States.
In September 2007 we began negotiations with Rackspace (www.rackspace.co.uk) to try and re-create our network infrastructure in the United Kingdom, and we are pleased to announce that our UK-based services go live Monday 12th November 2007. In fact we have been so impressed with Rackspace we have decided to migrate our all of our UK-based clients.
This move guarantees significant hardware and service improvements for all of our customers such as:
- Minimum Opteron dual-core 1212 processors
- 100% network uptime guarantee up from 99.9%
- Raid-1 array as standard to guarantee that hard-drive failure does not affect your services (they will keep running until we switch the machine off to replace the redundant drive)
- 1 hour hardware fix guarantee
- Dedicated HARDWARE firewalls
- Migration from WHM/Cpanel to Plesk
- Incoming bandwidth will no longer be charged as part of your quota, only outgoing.
- URL Content monitors (constantly checking your website is online)
- Managed backup (full weekly with daily incremental – 2 weeks’ retention) as standard
And here are some additional details from Rackspace which we feel we must mention:
- SAS 70 security auditing, making sure your hardware is on some of the most secure hardware in the world.
- Level 3 technicians
- MySQL – Rackspace is the only MySQL Certified Hosting Provider because of our extensive expertise in the deployment and management of MySQL technology.
- Cisco – Rackspace uses Cisco networking products exclusively and has a certified Cisco Powered Network.
- Power Systems - If the world were to stop tomorrow, the data centre would still be able to function for another 2 days!
We hope you are as excited as we are. As I mentioned above all our clients are going to be moved from WHM/CPanel to Plesk. We believe Plesk is easier to use for our customers while offering the same core functionality. Full training in the use of Plesk will be available to all of our customers free of charge.
